What can I expect?

What should I wear?

There is no dress code, so come in whatever you're comfortable in. As long as you're wearing clothes, we're happy.

How long is a First Baptist church service?

In total, a First Baptist Church service is about 60 minutes in length. Services begin with the First Baptist band leading the church in music - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of service is complete, one of our pastors will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.

What happens when i walk in the door?

No matter who you are, plan to be greeted warmly by our First Impressions Team. In between the 9am and 10:30am services grab some juice, a coffee and enjoy a donut in the foyer.

What about my kids?

During our worship gathering, kids have the opportunity to participate in Sunday KIDZ children's ministry for Pre-K through 6th Grade. It's a fun-filled, age-appropriate place where they can learn about and experience God's love (and have a blast doing it!).  Stop by our KIDZ Check-In Station before heading into the service. A friendly volunteer will be happy to help.  You can also pre-register your kids to make your visit easier.

We also host Wednesday KIDZ during the school year every Wednesday evening with a meal at 5:30pm, and programming from 6-7:30pm.

For Youth grades 7-12, we have a Bible Study specifically for them at 9am with a short discussion and prayer time together. Then, they will join with the rest of the congregation for our 10:30 Contemporary service. We also have a youth service on Wednesday nights 6-7:30pm. With games, worship, Bible Study and small group, this is a fantastic time for all teenagers!

Will I be singled out as a visitor?

Nope. There will be no awkward moments, and we won't single you out. We want to help you connect, but will leave that up to you. When you fill in a Connect Card, we'll help you take the next steps in your spiritual journey.  We also will invite you to our Pastor's Breakfast.

CAN I ATTEND IF I'M ___________?

Fill in the blank with whatever fear you have about not being accepted: divorced, single parent, recovering addict, atheist, skeptic, etc. Everyone is welcome at First Baptist. So come as you are and we'll see you Sunday!

"Honestly, I was a little anxious attending FBC for the first time...a little unsure of what to expect. But as soon as I walked through the front doors it felt like home."
